Shannon Hughes’ worst nightmare comes true when her rock star boyfriend, Gideon Eli, appears to be cheating on her. Upon learning that she is pregnant with Gideon’s baby, she hopes to salvage a friendship, but those hopes are quickly dashed after she receives from Gideon’s manager a check for $25,000 and a note telling her to move on and leave Gideon alone. Seeing no other choice, she starts out on her own as a heartbroken single mother.

It is not until nine years later, when a chance encounter brings her together with Gideon once more, that Shannon learns the truth. She discovers that their split was based on a terrible misunderstanding, but worst of all, the situation was made possible by her lack of trust in Gideon. Resolved to make them a family after all, he promises that nothing will tear them apart again because things will be different this time. This time, he will be in charge.

Her world is turned upside down when she begins her new life in Gideon’s plush Malibu beach house, and Shannon soon realizes that Gideon’s dominance is very real. That dominance includes the frequent baring of her bottom for a sound spanking, but even after he has spanked her hard and long and assured her that he forgives her, Shannon’s remorse for the nine years she spent away from him is almost too much for her to handle. Can Shannon forgive herself, move on, and begin to live a full and joyous life again, or will the scars of the past never heal?

Publisher’s Note Gideon’s Redemption is an erotic romance novel that includes spankings, sexual scenes, elements of BDSM, and more. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

This is a great story that I would recommend. There is love, drama, action, BDSM, passion and a HEA. Still, I have two issues with this book, which in no way detracts from how much I enjoyed reading it. My first issue is the title. The title implies that Gideon, the male lead, did something that requires redemption, but that's just not the case. It's Shannon, the female lead, who royally screwed up by making wrong assumptions, not giving Gideon a chance to explain what she thought he did and doing a houdini on the man with his child. My second issue with the book is the lack of common sense of Shannon. She knows Gideon's manager wants her gone, yet she relies on him. Why would Ray do anything to help her stay with Gideon when he wants her gone? When she discovers that she's pregnant, she calls Ray instead of Gideon. Where's the sense in going to man to tell him something that would keep her around when he wants you gone? I get for the story to work, there had to be a bad guy and there had to be misunderstandings for the long separation and set-up, but I don't like the implication of the title. Shannon's Redemption makes more sense because it's her mistakes and actions that led to them being a part and keeping a man from his child, so she's the one who needed to be redeemed.

this was a good story line and both H/H are interesting. Hope to see more from this author, take a chance u might be surprise. love the cover and title.
I've read about 5 of her books and love everyone. She really makes you appreciate and connect with the characters. Can't wait for her next book
Maddie's books just keep getting better and better. She takes a super rich, successful musician and makes him seem like the guy next door. This book is filled with lots of Hot sex and a generous amount of spankings. Great love story and a super Tope HEA. This is Maddie at her best.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I love HEA endings and characters who eventually understand each other. It was fun to read even though it centered on modern people, not Vampires and/or Aliens.
This is a great story well written great plot It has danger romance suspense action did I say romance Miss Taylor has once again out done herself seems it story she writes is even better then the last This book keeps you on the edge of your seat turning the pages just wanting to see what happens next this is a must read one you don't want to miss
Yet another success from Maddie Taylor! I enjoyed this book very much! Maddie has a way of bringing you into the story an making you feel what the characters feel. There was one character that I wanted to jack slap. I will not say more than that... no spoilers from me, but, I will say if you like a great love story with great spanking scenes, then this is the book for you.
